Consignment Guidelines
Overview
La Bóveda Luxe offers a curated consignment service for authentic luxury handbags and accessories. We provide a seamless, professional, and trustworthy experience while helping you maximize the resale value of your items. From authentication to final sale, we handle every step so you can enjoy a completely hands-off process.
Accepted Items
We accept the following luxury items:
• Designer handbags
• Small leather goods (wallets, cardholders)
• Select accessories (belts, scarfs etc.)
All items must be authentic and in good to excellent condition. Every piece is subject to approval prior to acceptance.
Minimum Value Requirement
To ensure quality and market demand, we accept items with an estimated resale value of $500 CAD or higher.
Authentication Policy
All items consigned with La Bóveda Luxe are required to undergo professional third-party authentication.
• Authentication fee: $45 CAD per item
• This fee is automatically deducted from your final payout
• The authentication fee is non-refundable if an item does not pass authentication and must be paid immediately.
Any item that fails authentication will not be listed for sale and must be returned to the consignor at their expense if they are outside the greater Victoria area.
Pricing & Commission
Pricing is determined based on current market demand, item condition, and comparable resale values. We work to position your item competitively while maximizing its selling potential.
• Commission rate: 35%
• Consignor payout = Final sale price minus commission and authentication fee
Example:
If your item sells for $1,000 CAD:
Commission (35%) = $350
Authentication fee = $45
Your payout = $605 CAD
Consignment Term
• Standard consignment period is 60–90 days (may be extended upon your request and LBL’s approval for extension)
• Pricing may be adjusted during this period to reflect market demand and improve sell-through
• If an item remains unsold, it may be returned to you upon request or at the end of the consignment term
Marketing & Sales
La Bóveda Luxe manages the full sales process, including:
• Professional product photography
• Social media marketing and promotion
• Customer communication and inquiries
• Sale coordination and fulfillment
Our goal is to present your item in a way that attracts serious, qualified buyers.
Payment
• Payment is issued within 3–7 business days after the sale is completed
• Payments are sent via e-transfer
Drop-Off & Shipping
Consignors may choose to:
• Arrange a local drop-off (Greater Victoria area), or
• Ship their item to La Bóveda Luxe at their own expense
If an item needs to be returned, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the consignor.
Condition Requirements
All items must be:
• Clean and well-maintained
• Free of strong odors (including smoke or perfume)
• Accurately described, including any signs of wear, damage, or imperfections
La Bóveda Luxe reserves the right to refuse any item that does not meet these standards.
Liability Disclaimer
La Bóveda Luxe takes great care in handling and storing all consigned items. However, by consigning with us, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
• All items are consigned at the owner’s risk
• La Bóveda Luxe is not responsible for normal wear and tear that may occur during the consignment period ( all items are stored safely and left untouched until sold, items will only be removed from storage for photo/advertising purposes)
• La Bóveda Luxe is not liable for loss, theft, or damage due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control
• While all reasonable precautions are taken, we do not guarantee against rare or uncontrollable events
Final Sale Policy
All sales are final once completed. No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be offered to buyers.
